Centurions Prep for Long-awaited 2022 Season

2022 Season Outlook

It's been more than two years since the final game of the 2019 season when the Centurions beat long-time rivals, the San Diego Enforcers, 28-27, thanks to a missed Enforcers field goal attempt from the 25-yard line. Now that the imposed Covid hiatus seems to be coming to an end, the Centurions are itching to get back on the field. With many veteran players returning for another year and a new batch of players joining the team, the 2022 season is sure to be an exciting time on the grid-iron.

The 2022 season schedule will be cemented on the calendar in November, during the annual league meeting, but it is anticipated to have six games against teams from across the United States in addition to a championship. The Centurions will play games against all the other Southern California teams: the San Bernardino Spartans, the OC Lawmen, the LASD Grizzlies, while hosting the San Diego Enforcers in Vegas during the Baker to Vegas weekend. Additionally, the team will most likely host the DC Generals and travel to play in Illinois against the Chicago FD Blaze. New this year, the Centurions will participate in a friendly pre-season passing league tournament with their fellow Southern California teams in December.

2022 Centurion Team Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2022 squad will span two Saturdays in November, the 6th and 20th. The place and time have yet to be determined, but all prospective and returning players should regularly check www.lacenturions.com or follow the team's social media to keep up to date on tryout location and time. In the new year, the team will hold weekly practices before and throughout the season, beginning in January 2022, with games played March-June.
