The Centurions will be supporting a long-standing tradition of the LAPD come November 12, 2022. The Saturday after Veterans Day, the LAPD will be remembering those officers who sacrificed their lives while serving the citizens of Los Angeles. At the historic LAPD Elysian Park Academy (1880 Academy Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90012), LAPRAAC will host several races to commemorate the memories of these officers. Participants can compete individually in age/gender categories, as a team or show solidarity as an organization in a platoon run. Those who currently play, as well as former Centurions, are invited to join us in a platoon run to remember the five Centurions who are distinguished by their ultimate sacrifice.
The pictured dry-fit t-shirts are encouraged for all those participating in the platoon run, and will be available for all those who want one. Details to follow on how to order and receive this item.
After the run, the Centurions will gather with their families to remember the past and look forward to the 2023 season of football approaching. All are welcome. Flags and canopies will mark the area designated for us to gather. Bring chairs for your group and activities for yourself and others to participate in. Meals will be provided those coming are encouraged to bring pot-luck sides to share. Times and more specifics are forthcoming as LAPRAAC provides them to us. We look forward to seeing you all and sharing a good time with your families.
